Refund Policy

SoCal Basketball is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization operating on a limited budget. Registration fees are used to cover the costs of running the basketball season.

U11-U18

• Before Evaluations: Full refund of SoCal registration fees and the Canada Basketball membership fee, less a $35 processing fee.
• During Evaluations: Refund of SoCal registration fees and the Canada Basketball membership fee, less a $70 processing and evaluation fee.
• After Evaluations: No refunds.

U9 Tykes

• Before the Season Starts: Full refund of SoCal registration fees and the Canada Basketball membership fee, less a $35 processing fee.
• After the Season Starts: No refunds.

Important

• The Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) membership fee is non-refundable.
• Refunds are not provided based on team placement.
• No prorated refunds are provided for missed practices or games.
• A $35 processing fee applies to cancellations, refunds, or transfers not caused by SoCal.
• Partial refunds for medical reasons may be considered by the SoCal Executive. Supporting documentation may be required. Please contact registrar@sccba.ca.
• In the event of a league-wide disruption, refunds will depend on when the disruption occurs and the portion of fees already committed to season expenses. Before August 15, eligible fees will be fully refunded; after August 15, SoCal will make every reasonable effort to refund unused fees.
